He is the former Managing Partner, CFO & COO of Leopard Capital; and was previously a Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Management at LGT Bank in Hong Kong. He also held senior investment positions at Bank Julius Baer in Zurich and Hong Kong. Mr. Hugger was the founding shareholder of one of the largest brokerage companies in Bangladesh. He is also a Certified Financial Investment Analyst (CFIA) and Investment Adviser (Switzerland) and a Certified European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies (EFFAS) Financial Analyst.

Roland Jossi, CFA, Director
has more than 40 years of experience in the private banking, fund management and insurance industry. He has spent most of his professional life outside his native Switzerland. Roland held senior management positions at leading Swiss banks in Japan, Hong Kong, and in Singapore. Before joining the Asia Frontier Capital group, he spent many years at a global insurance company based in Hong Kong. Roland has been a CFA® charterholder since September 2001.

Debbie Hugger, Director
is a Director of Feasibility at Ennismore (a subsidiary of Accor Hotels) in London, and previously she was a Senior Analyst at CBRE Hotels in Dublin. Debbie holds a Bachelor's Degree of Science in International Hospitality Management from EHL, Lausanne, Switzerland.

Andreas Vogelsanger, Director
has over 25 years of wide-ranging experience with leading institutions in the finance industry. Prior to joining AFC Vietnam Fund Andreas was a Founding Partner and Chairman of a small corporate finance boutique in Bangkok and he worked for top-level investment banks, hedge funds and private banks in Zurich, Geneva, London, Hong Kong and Singapore.  He is passionate in finding the best value solutions for clients in tailoring an optimal investment proposition. Andreas was awarded an AMP diploma from Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania and he also holds CEFA (Certified European Financial Analyst and Portfolio Manager) and FRM (Financial Risk Manager) diplomas.

Neil Gray BAcc. (Hons.) C.A. – Independent Non-Executive Director
serves as a director on the boards of alternative investment fund and special purpose vehicles. providing governance services to general partners of private equity funds, hedge funds, special purpose vehicles and holding companies in the Cayman Islands, the British Virgin Islands and Delaware. He is actively involved as a director on a diverse range of alternative investment structures and has extensive experience working with Investment Managers on matters such as operational due diligence, valuation of illiquid assets and financial reporting.

Peter de Vries, Director
has over 25 years experience in finance of which 20 was spent in Hong Kong. He is a former Director and Senior Relationship Manager at Leopard Capital. Prior to that he was an Executive Vice President at Upbest Financial Services where he was involved with fund raising and deal structuring for real estate investment and development projects in Macau. Previously he worked as Executive Vice President at ViewTrade Securities in Hong Kong as head of the business development for the Asia Pacific region. Mr. De Vries has also held the position of Assistant Vice President at Merrill Lynch Asia Pacific. He holds an MBA in finance from Calstate Hayward, and a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from Twente University in the Netherlands. Mr. De Vries is fluent in Dutch, English and German.

Ari-Pekka Hildén, Independent Director
is a founding Partner of Northern Star and has experience in emerging markets investments since 1989 and a decade of experience of direct investment into frontier markets. He has successfully managed global equity teams with demonstrable benchmark beating track record in multibillion investment organizations. Ari-Pekka was Head of Equities at Finland’s largest pension fund Varma (€33.2bn) in 2002-2009. In his role at Varma, Ari-Pekka also had several seeding roles for emerging market funds, which today represent leading buy side knowledge for their markets. Prior to that, he was Head of Investments at SEB Private Bank in Luxembourg and in charge of equity investments at Finnish pension fund Keva (€28.8bn). He has been also member of the boards and investment committees for several emerging market and frontier markets equity funds. Ari-Pekka holds an MSc in Economics from Tampere University and is a Certified European Financial Analyst (CEFA) charter holder.

Aleksandr Kostjukevitš, Independent Director
Aleksandr has nearly 20 years of global experience in law and compliance. Hailing from Estonia, he began his career at the Estonian Ministry of Justice and later worked with a County Court. As an Attorney-at-Law at the international firm Eversheds, he specialised in financial services and regulatory compliance. Aleksandr was a trailblazing compliance professional at Wise, a global leader in payments and e-money. He went on to serve as Group Chief Compliance Officer at Olympic Entertainment Group, one of Europe’s largest multi-channel gaming operators. Prior to joining the AFC, Aleksandr was a Management Board Member at Tuleva, a leading Estonian pension fund manager with over €1 billion in assets under management. He holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Law, a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, and a Certificate in Fund Administration.

Giselle Lee, Independent Director
is a highly experienced finance professional with a career spanning over two decades in the asset management industry. Throughout her career, Giselle has held business development roles with renowned global asset managers such as Barings, Man, Deutsche Asset Management, Allianz Global Investors, and JP Morgan. She is currently an Associate Advisor at PeRK Advisory, a financial services advisory company. She has advised an established family office in Hong Kong on their development strategy. Furthermore, from 2021-2024, she served as a board member for a Singapore-based equity fund. Giselle obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree from the London School of Economics. She also holds a FT-Pearson Board Directorship Programme Advanced Level 7 Diploma.

Ahmed Tabaqchali, CIO of Iraq Investments
is an experienced Capital Markets professional with over 22 years experiences in US and MENA markets.  Currently a board member of the Credit Bank of Iraq. He is a former Executive Director of NBK Capital, the investment banking arm of the National Bank of Kuwait as head of Brokerage. Prior to these roles Ahmed was Managing Director and Head of International Institutional Sales at WR Hambrecht + Co. based in London, New York and San Francisco. This followed on from roles as a Managing Director at KeyBanc in London  and before that Director & Head of Capital Markets & Institutional Sales at Jefferies Int’l in London. He started his career at Dean Witter Int’l in London. Ahmed has an M. Sc. in Mathematics from Oxford University in the UK, a B.Sc. (Hons, 1st class) in Mathematics from Victoria University in New Zealand and a B.Sc. in Mathematics from Canterbury University in New Zealand. Ahmed is an Iraqi & a British national.

Jesse Friedlander, Director
is co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of Des Voeux Partners, a Hong Kong based multi-family office. Mr. Friedlander previously worked in equity and credit research as well as capital markets for JPMorgan, Merrill Lynch and Susquehanna International Group. He graduated cum laude and with honors in East Asian Studies from Yale College and holds an MBA from Wharton and a MA in International Relations and Economics from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst, contributor to the South China Morning Post and host of the ReOrient! Podcast.
